Although acute cases of finger fracture are usually treated at an emergency department, there may be cases in which the fracture has not been diagnosed or treated early on, and these can be evaluated at consultation. On the other hand, it is common for fractures of the fingers to leave sequelae that may or may not have a surgical indication for improvement of function.
