FOREHEAD AND EYEBROWS

1. B. Toxin

WHAT IS IT FOR?

Reduces the wrinkles caused by contractions of the facial muscles, frown lines, allows raising the eyebrows and correcting facial asymmetries (facial paralysis sequelae)

HOW IT WORKS

B. toxin temporarily paralyzes the muscles responsible for the lines and wrinkles of facial expression, allowing the skin to recover from years of contractions and a furrowed forehead

PROCEDURE DURATION

15 minutes

OPTIONAL ASSOCIATED PROCEDURES

Depending on the region of the face, it can be supplemented with a filler (hyaluronic acid)

TYPE OF ANESTHESIA

None or topical anaesthetic cream

SCARS

None

HOSPITAL STAY

Does not require hospitalization

RECOVERY

Avoid exercise, intense heat or strong solar exposure for the first 24-48h

RISKS AND MOST FREQUENT PROBLEMS

Assymetry. If overdosage, lack of facial expression, asymmetry, drooping eyelid

PROCEDURE LONGEVITY

The effect appears only after 3 to 4 days, with a duration of 4 to 6 months. When the treatment is not repeated, the original muscle movement returns spontaneously

2. Brow and Forehead Lift

WHAT IS IT FOR?

Minimizes forehead wrinkles, drooping eyebrow, folds over the eyes, furrowed forehead and frown lines

HOW IT WORKS

Brow lift or Forehead Lift is a procedure that removes excess tissue, alters the muscles and stretches the skin of the forehead. This procedure is performed with an incision on each side at the top of the head, just behind the hairline, disguising the scars within the hair

PROCEDURE DURATION

1 hour

ASSOCIATED PROCEDURES

Botulinum Toxin, Face Lift, Blepharoplasty

TYPE OF ANESTHESIA

General anaesthesia or sedation

SCARS

Small hidden scar within hair

HOSPITAL STAY

Usually does not require hospitalization

RECOVERY

1-2 weeks

RISKS AND MOST FREQUENT PROBLEMS

Very rarely, persistent areas of numbness or damage to the facial nerve (frontotemporal nerve), causing loss of motion, muscle weakness, or an asymmetrical look

PROCEDURE LONGEVITY

The results depend heavily on the quality and elasticity of tissues, but generally it lasts for at least 3 to 5 years
